The 1st Quarter Moon
This image of the 1st quarter Moon was taken on 4/26/2004. The S50 was set to manual mode with ISO 50 selected, a shutter speed of 1/60 a second and F7.1. The camera was hand held to the eyepiece of a 10" Meade LXD55 Schmidt-Newtonian.

Jupiter

Here is the planet Jupiter taken on 4/25/2004. The S50 was set to manual mode with ISO 50 selected, a shutter speed of 1/40 a second and F8. The camera was hand held to the eyepiece of a 10" Meade LXD55 Schmidt-Newtonian. The small dark spot on the planet is the shadow of Jupiter's moon Ganymede.

Saturn is pictured here on 4/25/2004. The S50 was set to manual mode with ISO 50 selected, a shutter speed of 1/8 a second and F5. The camera was hand held to the eyepiece of a 10" Meade LXD55 Schmidt-Newtonian.
